August Snacktivities Classes

Group One: Mondays/Wednesdays/Fridays @10am-3pm 

     appropriate for ages teen to 21+

Group Two: Tuesdays/Thursdays @ 10am-3pm

     appropriate for all younger ages and older teens

 

Program Dates:

Week One: 8/10 - 8/15

Week Two: 8/17 - 8/21

Week Three: 8/24 - 8/28

 

Pricing:

$55/hour ($275/day) if accompanied with a Com Hab worker

$75/hour ($375/day) NOT accompanied (we provide staff)

     *credits from the 2020 Spring Semester can be used toward these classes if you prefer

 

*Class schedule TBD. No half days available. Participants can only be signed up for Group One OR Group Two - not both. Staff are following this same group schedule.

Art

Art Class focuses on the exploration of different theme-based projects allowing participants the opportunity to use different media, improve fine motor skills, and take pride in a finished project. Participants have the opportunity to socialize with peers during the weekly Virtual Classes through video chats in Zoom. At SNACK, participants of ALL abilities are welcome including those with no diagnosis. All SNACK classes are open to the general public.

Fitness

Taught by a personal trainer, this class stresses the importance of daily exercise to achieve overall good health and wellness. Participants are guided through exercises that focus on improving physical agility and strength. Participants have the opportunity to socialize with peers during the weekly Virtual Classes through video chats in Zoom. At SNACK, participants of ALL abilities are welcome including those with no diagnosis. All SNACK classes are open to the general public.

Yoga

Yoga Class teaches participants relaxation practices through guided poses and breathing techniques designed to help improve self-regulation. Participants have the opportunity to socialize with peers during the weekly Virtual Classes through video chats in Zoom. At SNACK, participants of ALL abilities are welcome including those with no diagnosis. All SNACK classes are open to the general public.

Parent Support Group

A weekly open meeting to share parenting strategies, coping skills, and stories from the week. All are welcome! This group/meeting is free to all families/participants.

Music

Participants engage in creative musical experiences such as singing, following directions, enhancing gross motor skills through musical movement, and musical relaxation with the guide of a music teacher. Participants have the opportunity to socialize with peers during the weekly Virtual Classes through video chats in Zoom. At SNACK, participants of ALL abilities are welcome including those with no diagnosis. All SNACK classes are open to the general public.

Dance Class

Dance Class focuses on our Members physical flexibility, balance, and agility through fun dance movements. Led by a professional dancer, Members are encouraged to express themselves independently through body movement. 

Dry Swim Exercise Class

Maintain your swimming skills with dry land exercises led by our SNACK Swimming instructors. Participants will follow along to our movement program designed to target range of motion and gross motor skills. These exercises help ensure that swimmers maintain their existing skills and are ready to return to the water.

21+ Morning Meeting

For members and staff previously enrolled in Snacktivities for 21+.  This group/meeting is free to all families/participants
